Plastering

High-quality plastering services in Norfolk and Suffolk, including skim finishes, repairs and decorative mouldings. Free no-obligation quote.

We provide smooth, hard-wearing internal plastering for homes and businesses across Norfolk and Suffolk. Whether you are finishing a new room or bringing a tired old wall back to life, we prepare every surface properly and leave a flawless, paint-ready finish.

What our plastering service includes

Internal skim plastering

A fine gypsum skim over walls and ceilings for a smooth, even, paint-ready finish, ideal for new rooms or freshening up older surfaces.

Plaster repairs and patching

Cracks, holes and blown plaster put right and blended into the surrounding wall. We deal with the cause, such as minor damp or movement, before we repair.

Coving and decorative mouldings

Coving fitted to soften the join between wall and ceiling, plus cornices and decorative mouldings to add character to a room.

Fire-rated plasterboard

Fire-resistant plasterboard linings where extra protection is needed, such as kitchens and garages, installed to meet building regulations.

How we work

  1. Survey and quote: we look over the walls and ceilings, flag any damp or loose plaster, and give you a clear, itemised price.
  2. Preparation: floors and furniture are covered, failing plaster removed, and surfaces primed ready for a sound finish.
  3. Plastering: we apply and trowel the plaster to an even, smooth finish, paying close attention to corners and edges.
  4. Drying and sign-off: we advise on drying times, usually five to seven days before decorating, and leave the space clean and tidy.

Materials and standards

We use quality gypsum-based plasters and fire-rated boards that meet British Standards, applied with the care and attention to detail that makes a finish last.

Frequently asked questions

How long does fresh plaster take to dry?

Most plaster takes between three and seven days to fully dry, though this depends on the thickness, room temperature and ventilation. We'll advise you on the right time to start decorating so the finish stays sound.

Can you skim over an existing wall?

In many cases yes. If the existing surface is stable and sound we can skim straight over it for a smooth new finish. If it's loose or badly damaged we'll recommend re-plastering, and we'll explain why before any work begins.

Do you cover both homes and businesses?

Yes. We carry out plastering for homeowners, landlords and commercial properties throughout Norfolk and Suffolk, from single rooms to whole-house projects.

Will the work be messy?

Plastering does create some dust, but we protect floors and fittings, work cleanly and tidy up thoroughly when we're done, leaving your space ready for the next stage.
