Rendering in Dereham
Dereham sits in the middle of Norfolk, surrounded by open country, and its more exposed rural properties take a real battering from the weather. LDR Plastering & Rendering Specialists render across NR19 and NR20 with weatherproof systems. K-Rend approved, fully insured, free quotes.
Out around Dereham the land is open, and that matters more than people think when it comes to render. A property with fields on every side has nothing to shelter it from the wind and rain that sweep across mid-Norfolk. Exposed rural homes here take a battering, and it is usually the render that shows the wear first, with cracks, staining and hollow patches on the weather-facing walls.
The answer to an exposed wall is a render that actively sheds water. K-Rend thin-coat silicone render does exactly that. Rain runs off it rather than soaking in, it resists the green algae and staining that damp, exposed walls attract, and the colour is baked through so it does not fade or need repainting. On a country property that faces the worst of the weather, that is a genuine upgrade over an old cement finish.
As a K-Rend approved contractor, the approved silicone systems we fit come with a 30-year warranty, which counts for a lot on a wall that works hard all year. Across Dereham, NR19 and NR20 we offer:
- K-Rend thin-coat silicone render
- Sand and cement render
- Acrylic and polymer renders
- External wall insulation with a render overlay for colder, exposed homes
- Render repair and refurbishment
For rural homes that are cold as well as exposed, external wall insulation with a render overlay is worth considering. It cuts the draughts and cold spots and gives the house a fresh, weatherproof coat at the same time. We will tell you honestly whether that makes sense for your property or whether a straight re-render will do.
We are fully insured, and we can show you real photos of silicone render work in the South Norfolk villages so you can judge the finish for yourself. If your Dereham home is showing the strain of the weather, ring Luke on 07388 771580 for a free, no-obligation quote and a fair fixed price.
Book your rendering before winter
Render needs dry weather and no frost to go on and cure properly, so outside work slows once the weather turns. If you want your walls in Dereham done before winter, book your survey now and we will plan the job around the forecast. Anything that cannot be finished safely before winter we will book in for the first settled weather of spring.
Rendering in Dereham: common questions
My rural home near Dereham is always damp and stained. Can render help?
Yes. K-Rend silicone render sheds water and resists the algae and staining that exposed walls attract. It is a real step up on a weather-facing wall. Call 07388 771580 for a free quote.
Is silicone render tough enough for an exposed Norfolk property?
It is well suited to it. The colour runs through the coat, rain runs off rather than soaking in, and the approved system carries a 30-year warranty. Ideal for open, exposed sites.
Should I add insulation while I re-render?
If your home is cold as well as exposed, EWI with a render overlay is worth considering, as it warms the house and reweatherproofs it in one go. We will advise honestly and quote for free.
What our customers say
"Luke and his team are some of the finest building contractors I have had the pleasure of dealing with over the last 25 years. The work completed for us was first class and the guys were respectful, polite and extremely tidy. Absolutely delighted with the finish and we'd have no hesitation in recommending Luke and LDR to anyone. Gary Baldwin - Eye, Suffolk"
"We are thrilled with the work that Luke, Brandon and Kirk have completed for us on our home. It has completely transformed the property, and given it a whole new identity. We had admired LDR's work in a nearby village on a number of properties, when we finally decided to approach Luke and team for a quotation, which we found to be very reasonable. Luke worked with us very openly and without pressure on a timeframe for completing our works, navigating inclement weather and our personal reservations. The team worked in a efficient, orderly and clean manner whilst at our property and filled us with great confidence that we had chosen the right contractor. An incredibly friendly, amenable and jovial team, and we thoroughly enjoyed having them around and can't thank you all enough for helping us make our house finally look more like a home"

"Luke, Brandon and Kirk have just applied K rend to the front of my house. Cannot thank the guys enough for an amazing job! It's so hard to get tradesmen you can trust these days but I have to say I would 100% recommend LDR Plastering. Very professional and clean and tidy when working and Luke obviously cares about his customers. Just make sure you give them plenty cups of tea!!! Luke has also done plastering for us inside and again did an amazing job. Can't thank them enough. 5 stars!"
