Rendering in Diss
Diss is our home patch. LDR Plastering & Rendering Specialists are based near the town, on the Norfolk and Suffolk border, and we render homes right across the IP22 area. From period timber-frame cottages near the Mere to Georgian frontages, we fit render that suits the property. Every quote is free.
Being based near Diss means we know the town and its buildings well. The streets around the Mere carry a real mix of ages, from timber-frame cottages that have stood for centuries to solid Georgian houses with proud rendered fronts. That range is one of the reasons we never take a one-size-fits-all approach. A render that suits a modern extension would be wrong on an old lime-built cottage, and getting that call right is half the job.
On period property we take real care with the existing wall build-up, because old walls need to breathe. Trap moisture behind the wrong render and you cause more harm than good. Where a modern finish is right, our K-Rend thin-coat silicone render gives a clean, water-shedding coat that stands up well to South Norfolk weather. As a K-Rend approved contractor, we back the approved silicone systems with a 30-year warranty.
Around Diss and the wider IP22 area we fit:
- K-Rend thin-coat silicone render
- Sand and cement render, ideal for traditional finishes
- Acrylic and polymer renders
- External wall insulation with a render overlay
- Render repair and refurbishment
Because this is our doorstep, we can usually get out to a Diss property quickly to take a look. A lot of our work here comes from word of mouth, from one neighbour seeing a job done well and asking who did it. We have plenty of real project photos from silicone render work across the South Norfolk villages nearby, so you can judge the finish for yourself before you commit to anything.
We are fully insured, and every quote is free and no-obligation. Whether you have a Georgian townhouse that needs its front bringing back to life, a cottage with a section of failed render, or a new build waiting for its first coat, Luke will come out, assess the wall honestly and give you a fixed price. There is no hard sell. Ring 07388 771580 and we will arrange a time that suits you.
Book your rendering before winter
Render needs dry weather and no frost to go on and cure properly, so outside work slows once the weather turns. If you want your walls in Diss done before winter, book your survey now and we will plan the job around the forecast. Anything that cannot be finished safely before winter we will book in for the first settled weather of spring.

What our customers say
"Luke and his team are some of the finest building contractors I have had the pleasure of dealing with over the last 25 years. The work completed for us was first class and the guys were respectful, polite and extremely tidy. Absolutely delighted with the finish and we'd have no hesitation in recommending Luke and LDR to anyone. Gary Baldwin - Eye, Suffolk"
"We are thrilled with the work that Luke, Brandon and Kirk have completed for us on our home. It has completely transformed the property, and given it a whole new identity. We had admired LDR's work in a nearby village on a number of properties, when we finally decided to approach Luke and team for a quotation, which we found to be very reasonable. Luke worked with us very openly and without pressure on a timeframe for completing our works, navigating inclement weather and our personal reservations. The team worked in a efficient, orderly and clean manner whilst at our property and filled us with great confidence that we had chosen the right contractor. An incredibly friendly, amenable and jovial team, and we thoroughly enjoyed having them around and can't thank you all enough for helping us make our house finally look more like a home"
"Luke and his team have done a few plastering jobs for us and we can't recommend them highly enough. Polite, efficient, tidy and work that is carried out to a high standard. When we need more work doing Luke will be our first point of contact."
"The LDR team we're great, they carried out internal plastering and and house rendering for us and we are really happy. Luke communicated well and was flexible to help us hit certain dates as to not slow down the project. We still have elements to finish so will be in touch in the near future."
"Outstanding work by conscientious workers. They take real pride in their work. Arrive on time and leave when each stage finished even when this is quite late and beyond 'normal work hours' Always tidy up as they go. Very polite and appreciative. Good communication on what each stage involves and materials used and why. Chose K Rend in pearl on the three outbuildings and it looks amazing."
"Luke, Brandon and Kirk have just applied K rend to the front of my house. Cannot thank the guys enough for an amazing job! It's so hard to get tradesmen you can trust these days but I have to say I would 100% recommend LDR Plastering. Very professional and clean and tidy when working and Luke obviously cares about his customers. Just make sure you give them plenty cups of tea!!! Luke has also done plastering for us inside and again did an amazing job. Can't thank them enough. 5 stars!"
