Silicone Render

This project involved rendering the porch and entrance bay of a detached house in Diss to create a weather-resistant, low-maintenance façade in a bold black finish.

Scope of Works

1. Substrate preparation – remove old render, clean brickwork and apply primer

2. Reinforcement mesh – embed fibreglass mesh in a cementitious base coat for crack resistance

3. Silicone topcoat application – two coats of K-Rend silicone render with fine texture in chosen black shade

4. Detailing – neaten corners, edges and junctions around windows and door reveal

5. Final inspection – remove protective coverings, clear site and confirm coverage with client

Materials & Standards

• K-Rend silicone render system approved for long-term performance

• High-strength fibreglass reinforcement mesh

• Primer and bonding agent in line with manufacturer guidelines

• Work completed to British Standards for external rendering
