A newly constructed barn-style residence in Tibenham received a full K-Rend silicone render system to protect blockwork, enhance aesthetics and ensure long-term performance.
Scope of Works
Substrate preparation – clean and prime blockwork to ensure adhesion
Reinforcement mesh & base coat – embed fibreglass mesh into a cementitious coat for crack resistance
Silicone topcoat application – two coats of K-Rend silicone render in fine texture and the client’s chosen neutral shade
Detailing – crisp finishing at corners, reveals and garage opening
Completion – remove protective coverings, clear site and review finish with the client
Materials & Standards
• K-Rend silicone render system for durability, water repellence and vapour permeability
• High-strength fibreglass reinforcement mesh and compatible cementitious base coat
• Primer and bonding agents applied in line with manufacturer guidelines
• All works carried out to British Standards for external rendering
