Silicone Render

A full exterior refurbishment of a two-storey cottage in Pulham St Mary to replace failing render with a modern silicone system and improve long-term weather protection.

Scope of Works

1. Substrate preparation – remove old render, clean brick and block surfaces and apply primer

2. Reinforcement mesh and base coat – embed fibreglass mesh into a cementitious coat for crack resistance

3. Silicone topcoat application – two coats of K-Rend silicone render in fine texture and specified pastel colour

4. Detailing – neat finishing at corners, window reveals and junctions with existing brickwork

5. Completion – clear site, remove protective coverings and review the finish with the client

Materials & Standards

• K-Rend silicone render system approved for breathability and durability

• High-strength fibreglass reinforcement mesh and compatible base coat

• Primer and bonding agent applied in line with manufacturer guidelines

• All work completed to British Standards for external rendering
