Silicone Render

This project involved re-rendering a detached bungalow in Lowestoft to refresh its external appearance and enhance protection against the elements.

Scope of Works

1. Substrate preparation – remove existing render, clean brick and blockwork and apply primer

2. Reinforcement mesh and base coat – embed fibreglass mesh into a cementitious render base for crack resistance

3. Silicone topcoat application – two coats of K-Rend silicone render in fine texture and the client’s selected colour

4. Detailing – crisp finishing at corners, window reveals and junctions with fascias and soffits

5. Site clearance and inspection – remove protective coverings, clear debris and confirm uniform coverage with the client

Materials & Standards

• K-Rend silicone render system approved for durability and vapour permeability

• High-strength fibreglass reinforcement mesh and cementitious base coat

• Primer and bonding agents applied in line with manufacturer guidelines

• All work completed to British Standards for external rendering
