Silicone Render

This project involved re-rendering a single-storey elevation of a detached property in Kesgrave to refresh its appearance and enhance protection against the elements.

Scope of Works

1. Substrate preparation – remove old render, clean brickwork and apply primer

2. Reinforcement mesh and base coat – embed fibreglass mesh into a cementitious coat for crack resistance

3. Silicone topcoat application – two coats of K-Rend silicone render in fine texture and specified colour

4. Detailing – neat finishing at corners, window reveals and junctions with adjacent materials

5. Site clearance and inspection – remove protective coverings, clear debris and confirm coverage with the client

Materials & Standards

• K-Rend silicone render system, approved for durability and vapour permeability

• High-strength fibreglass reinforcement mesh and cementitious base coat

• Primer and bonding agents applied in line with manufacturer guidelines

• All work completed to British Standards for external rendering
