Silicone Render

This project involved rendering the curved entrance walls and driveway perimeter of a home in Harleston to refresh their appearance and improve durability.

Scope of Works

1. Substrate preparation – clean existing masonry, remove loose render and apply primer

2. Reinforcement mesh and base coat – embed fibreglass mesh into a cementitious render base for crack resistance

3. Silicone topcoat application – two coats of K-Rend silicone render in fine texture and the client’s selected shade

4. Detailing – neat finishing around coping stones and junctions with adjacent brickwork

5. Final inspection – remove protective coverings, clear site and review finish with the client

Materials & Standards

• K-Rend silicone render system approved for long-term performance

• High-strength fibreglass reinforcement mesh and cementitious base coat

• Primer and bonding agents in line with manufacturer guidelines

• All work carried out to British Standards for external rendering
